Peter Cassidy, Chairman

Capitalizing on his background at AMP Financial Planning, where he managed a $3 billion division, Peter Cassidy established The Sentient Group in 2000.

This independent private equity investment firm handles the $168 million Global Resources Fund and the private assets of the Qantas Superannuation Fund. Peter is also the current director for various Sentient Group entities, including Queensland Gas Company Ltd.

As Chairman, Mr. Cassidy is responsible for raising capital and financing Spectrax™.

Anthony Julien, CEO

Bachelor of Commerce Economics and Japanese Studies

Using his fluency in Japanese, Anthony Julien began his career developing export opportunities in Japan with Opal Fields. In 1991, he moved to Tokyo. While there, Anthony initiated a joint venture with FM America, producing Australian radio programs across 36 radio stations in Japan.

When he returned to Australia in 1996, he reorganized the NSW Cancer Council's National Daffodil Day, growing their business from $2.1 million to $6.2 million over a four year period.

Anthony then led Fresh Today, a subsidiary of Lynch Flowers, to an annual turnover of $5 million. By 1999, Fresh Today had partnered with Qantas Airways and Innovations and was supplying more than 250 service stations nationally.

In 2001 Anthony became a joint shareholder and the CEO of Spectrax.

With a background in software/systems product development and operational management in companies such as Alcatel and Honeywell, taking locally developed products into major international markets, and in consulting extensively to the Australian software industry, Geoff’s experience spans software and IT R&D; manufacturing; sales and marketing; program, project and supplier management; and professional services in a broad range of vertical markets including telecommunications, banking and finance, utilities, aerospace and defence, and IT.

As a consultant and in the incubator ITem3, Geoff came to specialize in assisting the transition of small Australian R&D teams into global product ISVs. He has served on the boards and in the management teams of 7 such ISVs, providing the combination of commercial and technical skills and experience needed for them to ‘cross the chasm’.

Bringing this experience to Spectrax in 2006, Geoff is responsible for Spectrax’s operations in product R&D, product support, customer system implementation and support and partner support.

JASON OLLIVIER, GROUP SALES AND MARKETING

After a successful film career—including multiple awards for his documentaries—Jason Ollivier turned to the business world in 1990. Blending his media background with the corporate business market, Jason formed a consulting company aimed at IT and communication organisations.

In 1992, Jason contracted with Spectrax, providing marketing and sales support. This temporary role led to a permanent position, first as National Account Manager then Director Sales – EMEA Currently expanding global marketing and sales opportunities from the Sydney Headquarters.
